 Navigating the Home Page

The Home Page provides the user with the ability to perform a Basic Search, Browse by Title, Browse by Year, and connect to the Advanced Search screen.

Going from top to bottom: you can choose to perform Advanced Search by depressing Advanced Search in the right of the bar at the top, or by depressing Advanced Search right under the GO button.

Contact Us is self explanatory.

Home is redundant since you are already on the Home page.

You can perform a basic search using the big box in the middle. Please see the Tutorial about “Basic Search from Home Page.”

You can Browse by Title and Browse by Year from the lists in the middle of the gray bar.

To Browse by Title, simply select the title of interest and the Search Results Screen will appear with those titles from the collection.  If there are more titles available than those listed, depress the MORE button and a small dialog box will appear:

Just select the title that you want and the Search Results Screen will appear with those titles from the collection.  It is really Browse Results, but the resulting screen is the same as Search Results, hence just one name.

To Browse by Year, just select the year of interest and the Search Results Screen will appear with those years from the collection.  If there are more titles available than those listed, depress the MORE button and a small dialog box will appear:

Just select the year that you want and the Search Results Screen will appear with those years from the collection.  It is really Browse Results, but the resulting screen is the same as Search Results, hence just one name. At that screen, you can further select month and/or day, or you can select the titles that match the year that you have selected.
