This week the National Archives released over 2,500 records on the assassination of President John F. Kennedy with more to follow in the coming months.

The release comes as an order from the President to make available documents from the JFK Records Act, a law passed in 1992 to collect materials relating to the 1963 assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

John F. Kennedy was killed on November 22, 1963 in Dallas, Texas.
